Tips for Your Display

The way your display looks is key to your sales.

* Look professional. No one wants to see the inventory, boxes, bins, or garbage that you have stored under your table. In fact, even your craft table legs look tacky. This is why we REQUIRE that your entire table is covered down to the floor. King size sheets are a great size to fully cover a table.

* Have a professional looking SIGN with your business name. I know a lot of you sell other places (even if it be etsy), and you need to BRAND yourself, so that people know they are seeing something they have seen before and liked! It doesn't have to be professionally made...some of my favorites have been fabric banners or something else equally fun.

* Use LEVELS and HEIGHT to your advantage. If you use shelves or pegboard, great...make it pretty. If you use a table, put some different sized boxes under your tablecloth to create a visually appealing display. Use baskets. There are lots of simple and inexpensive options that will make your display look 20 times better than a table and a tablecloth. It's a lot easier to catch someone's eye if they don't have to bend over too see your products.

* Lastly, FILL IT UP! I walked into the Gap at Southetowne Mall the day before they closed their store, and it was literally nearly empty... just few things on the walls and a couple of rounders. It actually made me very uncomfortable. It's the same sort of thing with your display. People are much more likely to stop and look and pick-up if your display is really full. If you can't get enough merchandise prepared, I suggest you use a smaller display. During the show, we do go around and help straighten up displays when we can, but we hope you will come check on your stock as well. You can certainly always call during the show to see if you need to restock. We are happy to check for you. If your sales are great, then wonderful! Just remember that we want to be a step (or 4 or 5) above a "craft show" and we enjoy creating an "experience" for our shoppers. HERE is some great display info that I've come across a few times. Not all of it pertains to our type of show, but some does, and I especially love the first few.

Have you searched pinterest recently for booth ideas? Lots of fun stuff there, as you can imagine.
